@vorpal72 problem is they're only the pan n' scan versions.
i have the widescreen ones on vhs from the '95 release tho, just gotta transfer them to dvd.

@Exstaz the original cut doesn't exist on film anymore, they separated the elements in order to remaster them for the dvd releases, + those are the masters now.
it's take a LOT of time + money to completely rebuild the original print, then remaster it AGAIN.

I HAve seen the cantina Workprint on the dvd-ROM, and photos in the SW INSIDER magazine issue # 30+ or so. Lucas has no choice to release them as a historical film footnote. If not hacking is an Option...HAHA..lol! In the end Lucas will relent. many jedi fans will use their mind probes to make Lucas buckle under all that pressure.HAHAHA!!

I have the truly original theatrical versions on dvd. They were released for a very short time and I jumped all over it. They will be kept save.....frozen in carbonite....forever.

This was soooo fun. . .Totally should of been on the Complete Saga release. :-(

If you ask me, this should be on the Blue Ray release!

Thanks for the up. Brings back memories. :D

Thank you so much for posting this! So awesome! :D
It's silly to complain about this or that not being on the BluRay...It's on YouTube and available anytime. What should be on the BluRay is the entire Workprint of the 1st cut, with different pacing, alternate angles, and new scenes. Interestingly the editor was fired after Lucas saw his baby being mistreated because the editor refused to do as the Director commanded.

@ThunderZandor Well original cut will never be released aslong as Lucas are alive. He have stated several times that he is ashamed of that originals and how bad they are. The closest you can get now are the remastered version.
