i am second owner 87 hardbody has 450,000 miles OEM engine, changed one alternator still has OEM clutch. I still drive it to work everyday up to 70mph. Oh yeah one paint job. i will dirve it until it dies. PS i change the oil religulously like the manual say 3,500

I have had 3 of the hardbodies...1987, 1990 and I still have the 1995 model. All ran great and NEVER gave me a problem. I wonder why American made and Canada made and Mexican made vehicles have terrible resale values? Japanesse companies have been killing Detroit for 30 years because of their superior products and they have to worry about those money hungry unions.

We had one of the base 2wd 5speed models that was a 86 1/2 model. One clutch one alternator rest was tires brakes and oil changes. When it was sold this year it had almost 200,000 miles on it.
