Zombie Epitaph Song (lyrics)
And if I die,
before I wake,
I'll still know that I tried to make the most
for my own sake

And when I die
No need for the veils of weeping black for the wake

Because you'll know that I lived life alive
It was never a lie
I was never the walking dead
I wove the years with my own needle and thread
And I made this life mine,
So let the earth worms dine
on the divine!

But if I so happen to rise again after the wake,
Well no need to consult a zombie buff
It's not really that hard to do what it takes

Just. Aim. For. The. Head.
'cause you know there ain't no room for the undead
We're already so over-populated

And I won't take it personally
These things, they happen
And they happen to the very best of us
So don't feel bad
You see it isn't me anymore
And I don't it doesn't seem right
But if you care about your life,
You might just want to memorize this one line

Just. Aim. For. The. Head.
'Cause you know there ain't no room for the undead!

And just let me go!
Just. Aim. For. The. Head.

You know my place is down in the ground,
And you know that I would do the same for you,
I really would,
But if you still want me around,
Well know that enough was enough,
And I know that things can get rather rough and complicated but also mildly to highly annoying
when a loved one becomes a zombie
But,
You can always get me
Stuffed.

  • I'm going to be honest. When I first started listening to the song I really liked it, then I thought the song wasn't going anywhere cuz it was the same tune and slow singing until you changed it. I thought that was awesome. It keeps the listener interested. Especially listeners like me who have the attention span of a 5-year-old.

  • @addnamehere Why thank you sir. I'm the same way, generally, when I encounter a piece of art or music. I tend to like things that are pithy and that don't spend too much time meandering about.

With that being said, I can still appreciate the variety of forms out there; and when the thought arises, "alright, yeah, yeah, get to it!" I still *try* to give it a chance before completely writing it off as a waste of time.

And, I appreciate that you gave some time to listen to this. :-)
