Hei.
Your totaly right.
Musical influences are very important. You can get a lot of motivation from them. And you can see what is possible with the instrument you're playing.
Greetings

Thanks for sharing this. Remembering is a fun part of the journey. Will definitely look Bara MacNeils and Tony Cuff up. Always looking to widen my irish music library.

When we moved last year, I went through the same thing.
As they shared with you, now you share with us. That is how things are supposed to work.

Love seeing this one, Michelle! The Barra McNeils were a big hit with me for a long time. I saw them in concert at Winterlude in Ottawa one year. I sang all the songs out loud at the outdoor concert and everyone just looked at me. Seems no one in Ottawa new the music. Tisk tisk. You found a pot of gold, there, Michelle!

Good to see you again, Michelle:)
You found a pot of gold there, Michelle! Woohooo! The Barra McNeils are a big hit for me, too. I saw them in an outdoor concert in Ottawa at Winterlude one winter. I was the only one singing the songs out loud. They'd never heard of the, I guess. Tisk tisk. Great video!

That's funny Dave. People don't 'hoot' so much over here and I find it really hard not to give out a yelp when the band breaks into an awesome tune. The Barra MacNeils used to play every Dec. 23rd in our home town pub, Monty's, in Sydney Mines and everyone and their dog was home for Christmas. It was definitely the place to be. Last time they played there everyone was dancing on the tables - including me :)
