Theme: Noctis x Cloud, Tifa x Lightning, secrets
Program: the masking-less Sony Vegas Movie Studio
Key Notes to Understand: At 1:14, it's just a handshake to signal a bargain.
The stone angel is the unofficial sign for the Seventh Heaven bar, and it's far more recognized than the actual sign.
The "none of them are normal" thing is NOT a reference to the fact that none are straight.
Things You're Supposed to Get from the Trailer:
- Noctis is a warrior prince. (Duh.)
- Cloud is a high-ranking member of the court, and known for being a daredevil. (Duh.)
- Noctis and Cloud are longstanding lovers so deep in the closet they couldn't poke the door with Masamune. To mix and mangle metaphors.
- Tifa runs a bar in the city.
- Lightning's a famous soldier who's in the news a lot.
- Lightning stops by Tifa's bar to drown her sorrows; Tifa tries (successfully) to cheer her up. In the process, Tifa gets Lighting's number.
- Tifa and Lightning go on a date to watch some fireworks and generally start a relationship.
- None of the above are ordinary people. (This is NOT a reference to the fact that all of them are gay.)
- Drama's gonna happen.
- Tifa and Noctis run into each other. Noctis reacts with hostility and Tifa panics and runs for dear life. Noctis calls Cloud and sends him to head her off. Lightning finds her later passed out. She's upset that Tifa didn't tell her about the reasons behind this, and is furious that this happened.
- Noctis and Cloud are dramatically outed.
- Cloud gets attacked by a homophobic mob.
- Noctis and his friends drive to Tifa's bar, where Tifa and Noctis strike a deal.
- Tifa, Lightning, Cloud, and Noctis all end up on the same side.
- Lightning confesses to something that has the rest of them horrified.
- The fake movie is called Opening Doors.
- I decided to quote the last stanza of Matthew Arnold's "Dover Beach" at the end. (The quote is not exact. Properly it ought to be:
Ah, love, let us be true
To one another! For the world, which seems
To lie before us like a land of drams
So various, so beautiful, so new
Hath really neither joy, nor love, nor light
Nor certitude, nor peace, nor help for pain;
And we are here as on a darkling plain
Swept with confused alarms of struggle and flight
Where ignorant armies clash by night."
I think you can see why I didn't put all that in there.

Disclaimer (which is actually relevant, sorta) now:
This is a purely fan-made trailer, for a nonexistant movie. No money is being made off of it, it has no connections to any of the companies (i.e. Square Enix and X-Ray Dog), none of that. Quote is by Matthew Arnold, but as it was written in 1867 I believe I am well within my legal rights to use it. And no, it hasn't actually been approved by the MPAA, either.
...what strange suggested tags. (As per usual.)
how beautiful!!!!! how AWESOME!!! kyaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!
