4 Dec 1992 - Ross is gone to Washington and Blake is hanging out at the diner trying to pick up the pieces of her life. Blake calls Haggerty about his job offer, but he turns her down. Maureen comes in, notices Blake, and wonders if Blake will be available to spend Holly's birthday with her (since Maureen and Ed have other plans and can't make it). At WSPR, Holly has called Leo with an invitation, but he can't make it either. Maureen sympathizes with Blake, insisting that Blake can pay her rent when she finally gets some money. Blake insists that she will not be seeing her mother anytime soon. Later, Blake vents to Frank about the job ads in the newspaper. Frank gets upset that Ross left Blake behind, but Blake insists she's totally at fault for that. Blake puts herself down for thinking she could have a future with Ross when she can't manage to ever do the right thing. Blake thanks Frank for being a friend. Frank gets upset when Blake says she might go back to her father for a job. Later, Holly happily prepares for a birthday dinner with Roger, while Blake shows up at his office. Blake wants to fix things with her father. Blake listens as Roger cancels dinner with Holly when she calls. Roger doesn't remember it's Holly's birthday until Blake reminds him. Roger offers to plan a time to really talk things over with Blake, however Roger realizes Blake's real intent when she asks about accessing her trust fund. Roger ignores Blake when Gilly arrives with the presents Roger sent her shopping for. Blake can't believe Roger is throwing money at Jenna, but he only dismisses her. Holly is alone on her birthday, but doesn't appreciate seeing Blake stop by.
