Chad Magendanz Announces for Election in 5th Legislative District
ISSAQUAH, WA -- With the focus to "jumpstart education and jobs," community and education leader, Chad Magendanz has announced his 2012 bid for the newly reshaped 5th Legislative District seat currently held by Rep. Glenn Anderson (R-Fall City).
Magendanz is recognized as one of the most visible members of the Issaquah School Board and has been a longstanding advocate for both education reform and fiscal responsibility. He would represent the 5th Legislative District that includes Issaquah, East Renton Highlands, Maple Valley, Black Diamond, Carnation, Fall City, Snoqualmie, and North Bend through Snoqualmie Pass. Magendanz is focused on holding the line on education cuts while supporting a fair business climate to fuel our economic recovery.
"As an officer in the U.S. Navy, I pledged to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, both foreign and domestic...and I am still delivering on that promise today. I see challenges to our cherished way of life in unsustainable government spending, the decline of our schools, the over-regulation of our businesses, and everyday erosion of our constitutional rights," said Magendanz.
"During my career at Microsoft, I personally represented the company to U.S. senators and congressional staff, state attorneys general, hundreds of Fortune 500 CEOs, and thousands of industry insiders. As president of the Issaquah School Board, I've represented the school district's 17,500 students and 58,258 voters and helped prioritize its $286 million annual budget. Now I have a unique opportunity to apply my enthusiasm and ability in serving families in the 5th Legislative District. Please allow me the opportunity to support and defend your interests in Olympia."
