Jerry lived with his grandmother and when she died he stayed with his aunt Rose. He never lived with the Browns. Their hotels were only open in the Summers and he only stayed there when his parents worked there.

@RickSaphireCelebMgt Jerry's father worked and stayed at the Stevensville(swan lake,ny) for a time, Jerry ended up living at the Browns after his grandmother died(she took care of him because parents were always traveling)

Jerry Lewis' parents did not work at Brown's in the Catskills. That happened in a series of hotels the Browns ran in Lakewood, New Jersey. The Brown's bought an existing hotel in the Catskills in the mid 1940s and renamed it Brown's Hotel. By that time Jerry Lewis was playing the Vaudeville circuit, and in 1946 he teamed up with Dean Martin. Jerry did have a warm place in his heart for the Brown's and permitted them to use his name in their advertising.

The Browns were my father's cousins. My Dad passed away in December, 2010, and amongst his pictures, I found Charles and Lillian Brown and Family...

Yep, Jerry Lewis pretty much got his start there back in the 40's, and would make a guest appearance every summer in the 60's there. WOW
In 1996, the 500 room Brown Hotel was turned into a 396 unit condominium. The Jerry Lewis theater (which is in the basement), was kept intact.

The parents of Jerry Lewis used to work there (as entertainers). My Grandparents used to go to the Catskills back in the 40s and 50s. The Brown Hotel is one of the places they stayed at. After my grandfather died, I was cleaning out his apartment and found a wooden clothes hanger. Inprinted on it were the words "Brown's Hotel". Yes I kept that and still have it.
