@MangoSmoothie16 i have the base 2 with light intake/exhaust mods and my parents have the base 3 and love it. i love both but prefer the gokart feel of the 2 :P

@TheHardcoreArtist I'm toying with the idea of getting a rear sway bar and coilovers for my 2011 Mazda3i... I love Mazda's and everyone disses the 2 but they totally miss the point. Sometimes.... I kind of wish I got a base model 2... But other times I'm super glad I got the 3.

@MangoSmoothie16 im doing this/done this. and youre right. its more fun than my 3/fit/civic/ and a mustang/camaro/mini(though close)/yaris/fiesta/versa.

mazda is big on owner potential rather than factory.

but i will say the automatic tranny needs an upgrade.

100hp/2200 lbs = .045 power to weight for the Mazda 2 That really isnt that bad. 100 hp seems like a minuscule amount but it really isnt underpowered. Throw an exhaust, intake, coilovers and some sticky tires and you have the ultimate efficient driving machine while staying under $15,000.
