Snowball Fight!!! The Great Washington DC Snow Ball Battle Flash Mob

During the huge snow storm which hit Washington, DC on February 6, a fantastic snowball fight got started at Dupont Circle! Spread initially as a flash mob via Twitter, text and phone, HUGE numbers of people gathered for pure fun! Watch and enjoy, and start a snowball battle in your town! Dubbed "Snowmageddon" or "Snowpocalypse," the DC area and entire region have smashed all records for snow this season! And more snow is on the way! Look for snow battles like this to catch on everywhere. Isn't it great for people to get together to have fun like this?

I can't put into mere words how happy and warm inside this video makes me feel. People laughing and cheering like that in such unity. Wow. Very Christmassy vibe. Stark contrast to what's going on right now in my country (UK) mass riots and looting, very depressing scenes. But this has cheered me right up. And needless to say, it's going straight in my 'Christmas' playlist, along with Christmas Classics like Bing Crosby and Nat King Cole, The Home Alone Score and The Polar Express Score. Cheers!

I was in DC today, and there was another big snowball fight in the Circle! Today's snow is too dry and doesn't pack into nice balls, so clever people filled trashcans with snow and dumped it on others! Lots of fun!!!
