I'm sorry but it was the right decision. religion does not take importance over gay rights and vice versa. a seperate case is london borough of Merton and mba where mba was employed as a care worker for children with disabilities. mba asked for every sunday off to attend church but this was refused and later was dismissed. the tribunal weht in favour of the employer who was right to dismiss her. just goes to show that religion does not trump contractual obligations as well as lgbt rights.

British justice is put to shame in an international court.

UK should recognise the discrimination before the ECHR rules.

Secularists and Gays regularly oppose religious rules, yet expect universal acceptance of their rules. They do not see their regard for the flesh as spiritual, yet it is.

Islington does an injustice to all its citizens by only recognising secular precepts.

What about the feelings of the gay couple ? Who would choose a registrar to officiate at their wedding who didn't want to be there, when there was no short supply of others happy to assist ? On this basis I vote that the council failed to take into account the views of potential civil partnership participants, who presumably would want the occasion to be a time of celebration.

Divorce is something that is very much frowned upon in the Christian world. But there are circumstances. May I ask where you found 'God Botherers' are opposed to this? It would be good to investigate a claim from a suitable authority. The Authority for us Christians is the Bible, so do go and look within this and some of Jesus' Teaching. Then form your view and then come with a suitable, thought through argument. As opposed to an offensive statement such as a 'Homophobic Bigot'. All sin is equal

Did ms ladele ever officiate at divorcee marriages? If she did, it would be rank hypocrisy as fundie god botherers are supposed to oppose that too. If she has conducted such marriages it exposes her for what she is, a homophobic bigot.

So, when do I get to demand my employer let me do less work than my fellow employees, but for the same pay.
