TekuTekuTree 2009

Teku Teku Tree a real tree, a Japanese Maple tree in a container on wheels with seats that moved around Central Fukuoka* from April 24th till May 6th after the event the tree was be planted in Tokirikyu ( Imazumi Fukuoka)

People could sit under the tree, drink a free tea, write down their eco wish clip it to one of the branches. Teku Teku Tree Volunteers handed out seeds for people to grow plants in their garden or on their balcony.

The tree was pulled around by our volunteers and schoolkids singing songs.

The tree took part in and promoted various eco related events like a Critical Mass, a bicycle tour through the city to urge the city to make bicycle lanes, a vegetarian cooking class, street cleaning events in collaboration with Greenbird etc.

sticker contest which took place during designing 2008. The profit of selling the stickers was used to finance this event.
