This is my first attempt to the Arduino world! What I did is an Ambient Temperature monitor using an Arduino Duemilanove, an LM35 temp sensor and 2x16 HC44780 compatible LCD screen. Also Arduino utilizes the Serial Monitor printing the measurement there at the same time! Everything is power up by USB connection and all parts are driven by the +5V of Arduino's PCB.
Coming from the old AVR assembly time I was really impressed by the programming simplicity that Arduino offers. The LCD library is marvelous!
I had this up and running in 2 hours including Google search and playing around with Arduino's various commands.
Great job Arduino guys!

  • very nice

  • Arduino is a sick board. Thanks for uploading your code. I borrowed a lot of stuff from your void loop. FYI this circuit works with a TMP36 as well.
