Mmmmh, why those aggressive comments? Those drills are obviously designed to learn how to use a knife against an unarmed opponent. It may have two main aims: learning to attack someone with an advantage (more military oriented), and teaching people how to effectively use knives so that the partners using the knives are much better when you practice unmared vs knife.
I never cared for the stepping in Aikido.. you really should get your entire body out of the way .. especially against a knife or even just a low attack. And where's the kicks!?

WTF?? what art is there in using knife against an unarmed opponent? It doesnt take much practice to have an advantage this way.

@ 3:31 he never disarms the knife.so the opponent will keep stabbing.its very important to remove the knife from your opponent

Great video, lets you know how you can also use a small short stick, or even a baton that's not even fully extended to defend yourself.
