when i plug all mine up, the screen on my mac goes blank for a few seconds then returns to normal, i press detects displays but nothing happens, HELP! please!

Yo, can you connect an xbox 360 using this lil cable adaptor? say you put the HDMI cable into the xbox then into this, can you make the xbox apear on a 21inch Imac with those adaptors?
