@mikostone - not sure how 'Man' and 'Satan' are linked. The Talmud is simply a group of Yerushalmi/Babylonian scholars' interpretation of the Tanach (includes the Torah). It is also supposed to contain the oral law. However, many Jews accept that it reflected the time it was written down and is thus tainted. Some Jews ignore it completely. Jews pre 48' were predominantly Ashkenazi, but there was also an incumbent Sephardi population before them who had been there for thousands of years. see next

@mikostone - this is a mis-interpretation of a prophecy, there are some insane ultra arthodox Ashkenazi Jews that believe that a return to Israel before the Messiah is prohibited. There is no such statement in the Torah, hence this is merely a false interpretation. The prophecy predicts that G-d will gather disperse the Jews (Diaspora) and gather them (Israel today), both of which have come true.

Since Israel won't provide any demographics we can't actually prove who is a majority, but if we look up the stats of immigration to the holyland pre 1948 it was almost entirely russian, german and eastern european azkenaz, yes post1948 was predominately separdic but the state had already been established and palestinian land had been taken by jews with no claim to the land
