Here is a short video for my basement bowling alley project that is nearly complete. I made a couple quick recordings and threw in some of my own graphic design work to make this video a little more interesting. These are some of the first frames bowled in the Whip City Bowladrome. I have to admit, I am rather pleased with the outcome of this project.

Support your local Candlepin or Duckpin Alley and
enjoy this video of the Whip City's largest bowling establishment! =)

  • now get some linds mini pins and you can do a 3 way alley

  • @Thecuponkkid11 Actually, I could probably get some full size pins and use a 12 or 14 lb ball. The lane is the same size as regulation except for length.

  • Looks good! My semi-automatic machine using a garage door opener should be on youtube by about late june. I plan on having a swappable candlepin deck made as well. Nice candlepins.....very expensive though!

  • Thanks!

I'd love to see that video of your machine running when you put it up.

I lucked out on the candlepins. A very generous alley owner sold them to me for cheap.

  • nice

  • Again, awesome job!

We need to start a "home basement bowling tour" and go around to each other's basements week to week bowling on our lanes. We'll record it and start a YouTube channel showing it. :)

  • DJ Darksaber needs to make better use of the wood to make those strikes

  • I posted a short video of my pinsetter project. I will be working on respotting software next week.

  • I cant, my basement is only about 40 feet.
