Nigerian Salad with the classic look and taste is so easy and cheap to make. If you are looking to get the classic taste of the Nigerian Salad, the following ingredients are all you need. no need to spend too much money :)

1/2 medium bunch of Lettuce
2 medium sized Carrots
2 small pcs of Irish Potatoes
1 pc of Cucumber
3 medium Eggs
1/2 415g tin of Baked Beans in tomato sauce
100g of Sweet Corn
3 pcs of Plum Tomatoes (Jos Tomatoes)
Salad Dressing -- the classic Heinz Salad Cream works best with the Nigerian Salad recipe. You can see it here:
http://www.allnigerianrecipes.com/images/salad-cream.jpg
A close substitute is the Heinz Caesar Salad Cream. I used this in the video because I can't easily buy the classic Heinz Salad Cream where I live. You can use mayonnaise too.

The following are optional ingredients for the Nigerian Salad:
Corned Beef
Macaroni (cooked till soft)
Cabbage
Onions etc

  • @anajoy1 I'm sure you are very good at these dear :) All kudos for the Nigerian meals go to my sweet Mum <3 She started showing me how to cook Naija food when I was very very young and I cooked my first unsupervised meal at about 12. I paid people to teach me the basics of Nigerian snacks and some of my friends have helped me perfect some of them. I also watch when people prepare these meals so that I can pick up more tips and tricks to add to what I know :)

  • ooh and also your way actually makes sense this wayy it can stay in the fridge longer and not sogg or soak up (EWW i hate tht) if there is cream and sauce all over it .. got it got it lol.. keep the videos coming!!! =))

  • @CaramelFynessh Yes that's exactly why I add the cream just before serving it :DDD
