Outstanding work, as always, slug. How do you feel when you got to a "nerf" war, and the most prolific blaster is the one you created? :) Thanks for creating such a marvelous gun (I finally bought one, I lack the machine tools to make one), and thanks for finally validating me on nh (I'm phillypretzel). I still need an AS-20 barrel spacer, should you ever find the time :)

I am making a nerf gun of my own but i am using some of your ideas. I am using a pvc barrel and chamber. Should i use a circular aluminum rod as the plunger rod or your polycarbonate boxed rod? Also is there any reason for the rails that the plunger handle rides on?

A square rod will be easier to keep in alignment with the catchplate. The rails keep the handle from hitting your arm, and keep it straight.
