Using Video Helps Nursing Students Self-Evaluate

YC nursing students get a hands-on education in simulated real life situations that caregivers face. To better evaluate themselves and their peers, YC nursing Instructors Lori Riden and Michael Burton in Prescott, and Sandra Johnson in Verde Valley wanted students to be able to watch themselves perform in these situations. They also needed to record the simulations and watch them in class the same day. The TELS department in Verde Valley and Prescott was able to provide a simple to use camera that could be hooked into the classroom presentation equipment and playback the videos immediately.
