Riot City

A short gameplay video of Riot City, a dismally unremarkable beat-em-up by Westone and published by Sega that was never released in the US, I think. I'm not entirely sure about that part. I decided to do a short little playthrough of the first stage and half or so of the second stage. Like Mug Smashers, it's not a really bad game, and unlike MS, it looks better, yet is more limited in attacking, so it makes fighting kind of boring after awhile.

Granted, however, I'll still give it a go now and then. It's one of those games where even though it's not very good, it's decent enough for me to want to play it for a while.

Guess what? This game was remade as Riot Zone (Crest of Wolf) for the TurboDuo, and it was produced by the same team (Westone). So, yeah, this is the predecessor to it, sharing similar though rearranged stages and graphics (though with redesigned characters) and a similar plot. Though some of you probably already know that. You should be able to find it on the Virtual Console, I think.

I apologize if the graphics are kind of dark-looking, but it was the way I recorded the game at the time and hadn't thought about adjusting the brightness level. D'oh!

I just have to wonder, though... why does Bobby deem it necessary to walk like a complete retard?
