  • Your hand should naturally flip backhand up with speed

  • I completely agree with Allstar. I was actually watching this video just for that reason. I see alot of girls and coaches teaching them to keep the hips CLOSED. However, in this video it looks to me she is almost completely open when the pitch goes by(pause).. Her soulder is completely back. As a side note notice which way is her hand is facing when its back.. I say it facing up.. why do so many pitching coaches teach them to have it down?

  • the only thing I see "wrong" with this position is that her hips are not tilted/turned open so that the arm can fully go over the powerline...having her hips turned in a way so that they face the catcher will force her arm to be pushed slightly to the outside part of the powerline and more along the side of her body rather than in front of her body as would be the case in the open-stride position
