Brian Souter donated huge amounts of cash to the SNP and was repaid with the deregulation of the buses.

As a result thousands of people in rural areas have been left without public transport.

I have never met Mr Souter. I have heard various opinions about him. One bus driver whom I spoke with gave a negative view and another driver, quite a positive view. However, the drivers that give negative views on the man are themselves quite bitter and twisted people. I admire Mr Souter. He started with next to nothing and worked very hard to achieve what he has. He has created many jobs and continues to do so. Well done that man. I am also a Stagecoach driver and hope to do well.

we can all make comments i worked on the buses n.b.c.and stagecoach like mr souter i started as a bus conductor in the 70s but even though i dont know him or his sister you have to give the man credit and his sister to they started off with a few thousand pounds between them and they made stagecoach and make jobs for drivers i also saw mr souter on my favorite songs of praise the mans worked hard and from very little has built stagecoach to what it is today ,i would say well done he deserves it
