  • That still where Y.A. is on his knees and bleeding is from early in the 1964 season. It was against the Pittsburg Steelers. Great photo that sadly shows the end of his career. Tittle was one of the best QB's ever. Heartbreaking that he never got that ring.

  • A great guy, my grandmother saw him getting groceries in Baltimore in the 60s and he went to his car to get a picture to sign for my father. I guess he still lived in Baltimore since it was the first place he played, truly a different era.

-Oh you want an autograph? Let me go to my car, find a picture and personalize it for your boy.-

    Amazing.

  • HIGHLY Underrated QB

  • The Brett Favre of his day.

  • I always felt the Bears played dirty in the 1963 Title Game. It isn't worth winning if you have to intentionally maim someone to get it. I'll go to my grave believing that. The Giants should've won that game, probably about 24 to 10.

  • Larry Morris made that hit but due to his concussions, he doesn't even remember playing for the Bears or at Georgia Tech.

  • Hey....good-lookin' woman. Who woulda thunk it?

  • I've been a Giants fan for 52 years now and Y.A. Tittle was the greatest QB and on the field leader the Giants ever had. I too remember the 7 TD's against Washington with Marty Glickman doing the play by play on WNEW. Tittle may have never gotten the ring but he was a champion. Henry Laurito

  • I remember it as if it were yesterday....one of the cheapest hits to a lower leg I've ever seen.

  • the bears also had obradavich atkins willie galimore bill george richie petibone morris all hall of famers the bears were 11-1-1 that year they were a really good team
