sorry but axl rose was always terrible, he had a really weird singing technique, he like screeched through his noe :P I'll admit it sounded cool in context but as a singer nah mate .... absolutely atrocious, and that's not down to opinion :P A qualified singing intructor reassured me on that one :P

no mate...the fact tht axl has weird singing technique doesn't mean he is not good singer..
axl has the greatest variety in his voice and he could hit notes only freddy or dio could...as for the intructor,i have heard an intructor saying tht axl has a voice range tht only one or two others in the whole world have

sorry, you might like him, but he's not a great singer, being a great singer is about having good technique and singing in a safe range, as for Ax's vocal range, I don't know who told you that but his range isn't even much compared to the likes of other rock singers like Robert Pkat (1968 - 1972) Rob Halford, Kalus Meine and plenty others
