Nice job! Did you dig it out yourself?
-
Shane-did you ever take English in high school? Why don't you take life easier? You seem so wound-up over little things. Life is a one-time ride, enjoy, laugh and don't let others and simple words bother you.
Regards,
The English Cop

PS. You can use a line on the first course also. I did not see you using one-it would speed up your work and make sure you are level-without using the level on every block.
-
Well, I think you could speed up by applying more mortar on the foundation at the same time. Usually about 2 blocks length at a time, and more mortar on the block before setting it. You mortar looks a little dry also. No need to 'pound' block into the last one after you lay it. Just a small firm push thats all. Overall, keep up the good work and next time I am sure you can go faster.

@rogercuda You SHOULD have tears pouring out of your eyes. Following this mans lead, I have the confidence to tackle my own add-on foundation myself, which means NO WORK FOR YOU~! (What a tool)
Nice job shorecat99~!...and thanks for sharing with us other do-it-yourselfers.
-
Man keep making your videos. I bet your property value has more than doubled at half the cost. Never pay for what you can do for yourself. Good job!
-
@rogercuda obviously another mr know-it-all. Putting one Block on top of another is probably the only thing you know how to do.
-
@adamcook01 Because it's not Rocket Science like you egotistical masons think it is. Half the time when you hire one of you so called experts you realize you could have done a better job yourself. Just like this guy is doing.
-
hey thats cool, did you paint the outside and frame inside? I would like to build a 3 car garage with block construction but brick it inside and out.. I imagine you have to be more careful with the little bricks?
-
You don't know how to lay any block, at least not professionally, I don't know who you're bullshitting. And what the hell is all that mud in your bed joint for? Are you that low to the line? Did you check your height when you built your lead? Why is there so much mud? Anyways, stick with what you know, and leave the block/brick work to us professionals. No offense.
why do people do d.i.y. they should employ brickies like me to do it for dem, ur too slow mate i wulda laid at least 5 of dose blocks in 1 min al lperfect

@adamcook01 because I like learning new things and I could have never been able to afford hiring out what I did to my house on my income... and slow because it was my first time and I was probably tried doing it after work. but I was in no rush, I wasn't paying myself.... :-)
