A-Barbahari's "Sharh al-Sunnah" is not about the practices and lifestyle of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Early Hanbali scholars referred to 'Aqidah as "al-Sunnah" and this is why Ahmad's sons have transmitted books from him with titles such as "Kitab al-Sunnah" and "Usul al-Sunnah" which are not books of traditions, or "Sunnah" as the term is commonly understood today, but books dealing only with Theological matters. So the book "Sharh al-Sunnah" isn't relative to your point.
