  • kinda gross

  • Yeah, it was actually kinda gross, but that's DNA for ya, I suppose.

  • Very cool! Wouldn't Mendel have been a more appropriate subject? ;-)

  • Thanks! Yes, Mendel would have been appropriate, but I wanted to do Darwin, so I thought DNA was the best medium for his portrait.

  • Care to post what exactly you did? Ingredients and what not? Could be cool to do in my Bio class.

  • There's a link to the site I found with all the specific info on my webpage.

  • If it was done with Pea DNA, wouldn't it make more sense to make a protrait of Mendel?

  • Oh wow, how many bags of pea did you use?

  • Check out my flying portrait of Darwin .I'll paint it in the next few days -"Darwin 200 Portraits of Evolution Take Flight pt 1 "

Part 2 shows test flight .

  • I liked it it was crazy and creative . Another fun portrait idea would be to use dried dead beetles glued as mosaics .Darwin loved to collect beetles .
