hi iyogi, apparantly my windows hpdv2000 has vista, and im not on the admin account, but i do have the passwrd for it, however it may have "forgotten" the password so i am unable to run anysoftware that would be able to install an audiocard/driver (even if the computer came with one originally). The computer runs perfectly however it claims there is "No audio output installed." How can I fix this? thanks so much ive been dealing/looking for a solution to this problem for months now...thank you:)

@hollow828 In the video, ‘Realtek’ is the brand of the sound card on the computer. It might be different on your computer depending on its manufacturer (like NVIDIA etc.).
Follow these steps for the one listed under ‘Sound, video and game controllers’. I’ve mailed you generic troubleshooting steps for audio issues.
All the best.

@Yamaha06rider Try to check if you get sound on other programs like Windows Media Player etc. and other websites you would usually get sound on. If you do not get sound on any of them, uninstall the sound driver and reinstall the most appropriate one from the computer manufacturer’s website.
We have mailed you the steps you need to follow to do so.

i tried this and my sound card is an onboard and my older sister told me she was deleted some files and told me that she accidently deleted the sund, so i found a program to re-installs the "sounMAX" but it says driver could not be found....help me?? im on an windows xp premium

@ipawni2 @ipawni2 Apparently, besides the sound card driver, the software corresponding to the sound card was also deleted. To be sure you get all the required software and files back, I would recommend you perform a ‘System Restore’ to revert the system settings to a point before the problem started.
Steps has been send via message.
for further assistance revert me, we will happy to assist you.
