@peterp21 what are you talking about? if there was no hbk in the wwf during the time wcw was hammering them then wwe wouldn't exist now. taker and hbk were the only reason to watch wwf during that time. and they needed a fresh face and a great angle to beat the nwo angle and then came austin. hogan, hbk, austin, the rock and hhh rule wrestling.

@Humberwood87 or bret had an inflated ego and couldn't do the right thing. fuck being in canada or hbk not respecting him. he was leaving the company that made him, the least he could do is make the next champion look good before he left. i think it was always brets fault. vince did the right thing.

@lol1143 HBK is a really bad guy. Internet marks usually have everything wrong, as they think they are insiders. But I bet you more people despise HBK than they do a Hogan. Why? Because even though HBK had good skills, he was a political manipulator who kept a lot of people down. And even worse, he was a political manipulator who didn't have the success to back it up, as his 1996 title run was an utter disaster of enormous proportions. So he was a bully who didn't draw for shit.

His contract was up in a month you retard. He had creative control on his last month in the WWF, Vince personally wanted him to have it, so Bret could go out the right way. Bret said he shouldn't drop it that night because, Shawn didn't respect him at all, and he was in Canada. Bret agreed to either give up the title the next night, or lose it then or a week or 2 later to Shamrock or Michaels or anybody. Mcmahons lack of trust in Hart who he knew for 14 years caused the screwjob. Search up kid.
