    Well, Alphonso Johnson was playing a stick around 1976-ish when Jaco REALLY hit big. I think Jaco's thing was staking a place for the elctric bass guitar as a "legit" jazz instrument (particularly the fretless). But in dreamland? Yeah, he would have shredded the bejesus out of the stick.... or the Warr Guitar.
