@Nigel361ten HBO and/or Showtime probably wouldn't have picked it up either because of the "Inside the NFL" weekly football show, which moved from HBO to Showtime. Again, it would've gone to a network that doesn't have a desire to show any NFL-based programming.

@ralongx Well you can't really blame ESPN for cancelling the show hell it was the NFL that bullied the ESPN into cancel the show or ESPN wouldnt be about to air any more NFL games and the NFL knew show was 99.9% fact about professional football. but I agree I strongly believe that if Playmakers aired on HBO or Showtime it would still be on today.

@halo1angel0 That's why lost all respect for ESPN for cancelling the best TV show about pro football. I guess you can't piss off the NFL when you broadcast their product. However, some other network (who doesn't desire to or show football) should have picked the series up.

This tune is off the hook. It wasn't released as a single at all just produced for ESPN when they ran the show for a year before the NFL bitchslapped them to cancel it. This is probably the best theme for a tv show in a long time.
