  • It is recommended that chainsaw users use the saw right-handedly. With the bar on the right side of the saw, an operator stands a better chance of redirecting a kickback over the right shoulder if the right hand is on the throttle handle and the left hand on the forward handle. With the left hand on the throttle handle, the bar is more more centrally located in front of the operator making it more difficult to redirect the saw away from the head/face area in the event of a kickback.
