@salseroUSA many believe salsa actually started on2 - el mambo of the 50s. I personally prefer on2 because of the music I like, salsa dura, but really it's personal and up to the individual - it's all salsa and it's all good!

I give this guy respect on his turn patterns, very intricate and smooth..But I can only watch him for like a minute and a half before I start getting sick. Its 1 TURN AFTER ANOTHER, throw in 1 BASIC STEP ONCE IN A WHILE..A REVERSE, SOMETHING! Too many turns makes the viewer DIZZY!

The reason most people dance on 1 is because it's easyer to fake that you know your music since there many dancers on 1 and most of the times the follower has better musicality than the leader.. to dance on 2 you have train to really listen to the beat patterns and then train to apply them to your dancing. salsa did start in New York but the rithyms were already stablished by cuban rythms

Every style of salsa music has it's dance form and neither is the best. Dancin on3 goes well with timba/songo, on2 with NY/PR/dura and on1 goes well with most of salsa music in general. Try on2 in cumbia part of salsa tune... it sucks...Its not that simple like NY is the best....

IT ISNT! Who care what Colombians do... its all about self expression ... there is no rules... but when it comes to salsa/mambo , well my friend the reality is it started in NEW YORK CITY REVOLUTIONIZED BY PUERTO RICANS NOT IN L.A ...MAYBE ON2 is a little hard for you, which is understandable ..

Ok,ok,ok....I'm dance and 1 and on 2 but I really don't like people when talk like you do......If The salsa started in New york, Why most of the world dance on 1? Obviosly in New york dance on 2 and LA dance on 1 you dont have to be smart to know that period! like you said...... and in Cali Colombia they don't dance on 1 or on 2 and they think all whole world are jumping to cali style......so next time write more smart comments....
