The Sgt. Mac Foundation is a non-profit organization formed to honor the memory of Marine Sgt. Eric McColley, Eric was killed along with seven fellow Marines and two Airmen when two Marine CH-53e helicopters collided off the coast of Djibouti, Africa on February 17, 2006. Eric, like so many other servicemen and women gave his live doing what he loved, serving his country. We at the Sgt. Mac Foundation feel we are in a unique position. Having lost a son, we wish to make ourselves available to those suffering the same loss. Parents will continue to suffer losses as long as there are conflicts. It is our hope to aid these suferung famlies in any way possible. We hope that in adition to providing aid, support and assistance, we will be able to ease the weight of their suffering by providing them with the tools and information they need.
Out of tragedy comes hope and we hope the Sgt. Mac Foundation will serve as the ray of hope for those that need it the most.
Semper Fi,
John McColley, President
Thank you so much for your labor of love. What a blessing as I went to my parents' graves in Quantico on Dec.29 (both are WWII vets) and saw their graves decorated with the wreaths. That someone besides our families took the time to honor Mom and Dad means so very much. We just buried my Dad this March, and I so miss him this Christmas. Thank you seems so inadequate, but from the bottom of my heart, I thank you!
