  • It doesn't splash much and is just under boiling point (good for coffee). Very good when in a hurry or just for one person.

  • And the programming is real complex, the lights & cleaning, I can manage it fine (with the booklet each time) but my male friend got his head lost with it. ;)

  • They look sleek in ur home, but make some noise whilst in use & splashes, so go careful. Instant filtered hot taps installed into your kitchen worktop are more elegant & give pure filtered BOILING hot water. This is great tho for cooking too, because you can pour the filtered hot water into a saucepan & saves gas heating up water. Also 1/3 of electricity is reduced with this, but I've not touched mine in months, i'm a herbal tea drinker & i really don't like this for making tea, it won't stew.

  • Warning it's not BOILING hot. It turns filtered cold water instantly to hot water, like 95 deg, but that's not boiling hot. Tea needs to be made with boiling hot water, whereas coffee needs to be off-the-boil, so not to scald the coffee, so more ideal for coffee lovers. Cartridge filters are expensive & the whole programming & cleaning out routine is a bit complex, I purchased one for a friend online who fell in love with mine, but he couldn't figure out the functions & left it unused. :(

  • Hmmm not as fast as the breville hot cup... That does a full mug in 30 seconds dead... I count 36-37 on the tefal

  • hmmm... not bad but i dont think its as fast as the breville hot cup that does a full mug in 30 seconds dead

  • no sorry, I'd say around 93 - 97 degrees hot. Tea requires water which is BOILING hot, otherwise it won't stew properly, so tea drinkers don't bother, your cup of lady grey or earl grey or mint tea won't taste correct, even though the water is pure and hot.

  • They're made in France & I purchased one as a gift for a friend too, who fell in love with mine, but he got confused with the operating instructions. It is a bit complicated descaling it and changing the cartridges and re-programming it & some ppl say there's broke down in less then a year, but I've had mine for 2 years and it's never failed me, but I look after it n don't use it heavily. Instant hot water taps are better, imo.

  • I purchased one of these ~ they turn cold water to hot instantly n saves energy, but it's noisy, the filter cartridges aren't cheap, the programming is a bit complicated and it makes a lot of noise. Also, I wish to emphasise the water is not boiling hot, but like around 90 degrees, so ok for coffee drinkers (since water needs to be off the boil not to scald the coffee) but not tea drinkers (where the water must be boiling hot) They splash too, so go careful.

  • these look awesome i really want one! does it splash water around the cup? there looked to be a few splashes..
