Bonnie Bickwit and Mitchel Weiser vanished without a trace from Camp Wel-Met in upstate Narrowsburg on the morning of July 26, 1973. Bonnie, 15, of Borough Park, and Mitchel, 16, of Flatbush, both students at Brooklyn's John Dewey High School, were on their way to a major rock concert being held in Watkins Glen.
Could somone please let these siblings know the strongest mitochondrial DNA comes from the mom & is passed on to all her children, so they can also give DNA to be matched to any unknown Jane & John Does found over the years. My thoughts & prayers go out to these 2 families for having to wait so very long for answers to their loves ones disappearances.

It's so amazing, I look at a picture of her and I can see her in my mind's eye like it was yesterday that we sat together in Mr. Jerome's homeroom. She was such a nice girl. We really liked each other.

So sad...Mitch was in my home room at John Dewey HS...it's like he and Bonnie just disappeared off the face of the earth.
