Well there's a much easier explanation. Sound = air waves. Just like sea waves. These waves are moving hair back and forth just like sea waves are moving sea grass. THAT'S IT! :)

not quite that simple. Its more like how a tornado works. Or a Hurricane.
High pressure is forced into low pressure centers to attempt to balance the pressure out.
So the hair is stuck in the low pressure zone and is pushed on from all sides by the high pressure.

I think it can also be explained like.
A tennis ball being hit back and forth between 2 rackets without hitting the ground.
The sea grass moving from an ocean wave is more like a baseball being hit with a bat, but the grass doesnt fly away because its rooted.
