Sinners always want to lead us away from the sound teaching and doctrine of Christ. Unfortunately, many of these people who would like to lead others astray are right in the churches. Jeff Noblit explains how we need to stand up against this apostacy regardless of what the person professes.

  • Lane, just out of curiosity, do you know why exactly FB Muscle Shoals changed its name?

  • No.

  • Its ironic that when I play this movie, to hear the Word Of God the first Google AD that pops up on my screen is " Tithing is Unscriptural"

  • I wish I could get that ad removed. Unfortunately, I don't have that capability.

  • Thank you, Lane, I am a Israelite who lost my entire blood family overnight! God put me on the streets and airwaves of the world to find my new family in Christ. And God blessed me here!

  • This is sound biblical preaching, we need this so much these days in the light of Robert Schuler, Joel Osteen, Todd Bentley, and all those who tickle the ear. I pray that when I am finally done and ordained God would use me the same way.

  • Why do you have these sermons over the specifics of your religion? You have yet to convert the other denominations of the world or resolve the problem of evil. If God made everything and evil exists, God must be evil in at least some capacity. I am an atheist, I live to help others. I realize that if an omnipotent God exists he can help himself, but people do not have the same luxury. If I am going to hell for this than so be it, I am willing to make a greater sacrifice for good than your Jesus.

  • They didn't so much leave the SBC, as much as the SBC left it's roots.

  • I am glad they are leaving the convention. Associations are not biblical whatsoever. It is the local body of believers that make the churches decisions under the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Not the work of someone drawing a check to do practically nothing. That money could be going to the mission field. Do you realize that the Southern baptist association pays 52 million in administration fees. Do you know what 52 million could do on the mission field?

  • The reason there is such opposition is because this church of 1000 members, was called 1st Baptist Church of Muscle Shoals. Now that they are leaving the Southern Baptist Convention, they are also changing their name. Already there are hundreds that have left (and hundreds that have moved to AL to go there) and the gossip went flying from those who were disgruntled.

  • The Law of Faith...

"Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of observing the law? No, but on that of faith. For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law [...] there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith. Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law"

    Romans 3:27-31

  • i cannot imagine what stress this man goes thru to have to deal with members of a church. I have known many a pastor who has been destroyed by church boards and some in the pew. My word, a name change...i have known pastors who have be tarred and fethered for lesser things...

  • I think i agree with you emery, thats what i would think, im apart of the pastoral link at Grace life and from what i have heard thats about rite. And for you ohters, please, you know dang well Jeff Noblit is all about faith in Jesus and using that faith to carry out our keeping the commands of God, we dont trust in the works we trust in Jesus atonment for our works. Soli Deo Gloria!

  • MY CHURCH DID THIS TOO

  • It's so easy for Christians to point their finger at those who desire to adhere to the laws that the Father gave us and call them tradition. They confuse the fact that Yah'shua spoke against those who held to the traditions of men, but he did not ever say not to follow the commandments. On the contrary, take a look at what he says when asked how one inherits eternal life. And by the way, sin is transgressing the law. What law would that be?

  • He says, "...we don't cling to sentimental traditions in our religion. We cling spiritually to the truth of true religion." I'm just wondering if celebrating pagan holidays like Christmas and Easter would fall under the catagory of "sentimental traditions"?
