The music is unknown to me, its just some nice sounding stuff that I picked out of my bucket of tapes from my WMHB days. I hope you can identify it, I can't help you otherwise. This vid is a walk through my fathers 80 acre woodlot up in Madison Maine, with side trips to the various streams and brooks on his property. For those who liked my first environmental video, you'll probably like this. Enjoy!

  • Your own private bit of paradise. Thank you so much for sharing this lovely setting. ~Kurt :-)

  • @softypapa Thanks Kurt. Its mostly just a memory now that Dad and Mom have moved and the land is owned by someone else, plus just being on the other side of the country.

  • North America definitely has nice country side. I am just up north in new brunswick, its awesome woodland, great for hunting, and lots of fishing to. also lots of good wood to cut. nice vid.

  • Deer are often around this area. Dad has gotten a few over the decades when he used to hunt.

  • Where exactly is the woodlot in Madison? Wondering if I have ever been through.

  • About a mile and a half from the Skowhegan line on the East Madison Rd. In the olden days, it used to be a county road, according to an 1880 atlas. 8)

  • yeah they like wooded areas, and cuts to. they also prefer roads running through for easier trekking in the winter time when the snow is deep.

  • Drew, I hear the music but no images. I've been having trouble viewing YouTube recently. I'll return.

  • Thanks Ken. Glad you liked it.

  • The music is random new age stuff I recorded as I was doing my radio show in Maine back in 1994-95. I was the new age music director, so I was the one who brought most of it to WMHB and played it. The Maine countryside is nice except for the mostquitos and blackflies.
