It's Sunday morning, and I wake up to the sounds of a helicopter's whirring rotor outside my window on the 26th floor. Looking out the window, I see a helicopter flying fast and low over the Shing Mun river channel. It's strange. And then it makes a slow, ascending turn and heads back for another loop over Shatin. I don't know what the helicopter is doing, but I suspect its actions coincide with the events in Shatin park below, where there seems to be a large charity event and race happening.
Update - I found out that yesterday's event was the Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics in Shatin; a fund raiser to help athletes prepare for next year's Special Olympics World Winter Games and this year's East Asia Games.
