I've not heard of Stuff Smith. He belongs up with the greats like Grappelli, and Jean Luc Ponty.

The arrangement and sidemen are great also. Nice piano solo.

I don't think I missed much of the music that '65 had to offer, but this is totally new to me. Than ks!! Terrific.

I hear roots and influences here that appeared a few years later in "Hillbilly Jazz", with Vassar and Bromberg and the rest.

Now I know what it means for a violin to sing. Mr. Smith definitely has got the "Stuff"!

An incredible talent ! He had a huge sound, I'd love to know who the builder of the violin was. My guess is he was playing a Strad or one of the great violin makers instruments.
