Hello.
I am: Anonymous. One among many hundreds of thousands.
There are several misconceptions in the public eye which have been propagated by our enemies: the Church of Scientology and others. The media have lent their hands to this task as well.
First, that we are all anonymous. This is not necessarily true. Non-anonymous members are a useful resource, giving us a public face that can be queried. Non-anonymous members further the truth: that we are everywhere; that we are legion.
Second, that we are hackers. In classical parlance this is true, but modern usage has left this term stifled by common perception. Hackers today are seen as malicious adepts, wizards who gain entry to computer systems illegally for their own use. In this regard, we are not hackers. We are the concerned public; facing a menacing threat from within.
To use political terminology, we are a de-centralized grass-roots organization with members world-wide. We are not terrorists, we are not unruly upstarts.
We are Anonymous.
We are Legion.
We are everywhere.
We do not forgive.
We do not forget.
And we will win, no matter how long it will take.
We are Anonymous.
Anonymous is legion.
Anonymous does not forgive, Anonymous does not forget.
