Song Name: Looking Through The Eyes Of Love Artist Name: Melissa Manchester Album: The Essence of Melissa Manchester Songwriter(s): Carole Bayer-Sager, Marvin Hamlisch Release: May 5,1997 Label: Artista Records
You see, Melissa Manchestor is a genius with a superb voice. A voice for the ages. You can be a real SOB but still appreciate excellent talent. A voice to warm even the hardest of hearts, which is why this song was thought of in the first place.Melissa had Somewhere Over The Rainbow too. A song included in the early book which mirrored the Oz story. This performance made the good charactors brave enough to defeat the evil they had to face before advancing onward.
Also a masterpiece! One of the few songs that the music part was part of the Curse Of The Manchesters story. The vocal part however, was sung in the pirate ship sinking episode. A fan favorite. A tear jerker, for it was the first time both Manchesters cried. They were doomed and both knew it, but they remained brave until the end. They also died with their pirate ship captain daddy. One of the few daddy figures they were proud to have as family.
@raiderdanCA Both beautiful songs that charted in 1979 and sadly failed to make the Top 40, but which have endured despite their poor chart showings through airplay on Easy Listening radio stations. The Maureen song is a classic too... it deserved the #1 spot but got only to #52.
Actually this song was released in 1979 not 1997. Still a very beautiful song.
