This is our second attempt at launching a weather balloon into space on June 26, 2010. All pictures were from the Canon SD400 camera with CHDK firmware update, taking shots every 15 seconds.

The balloon launched at 7:19am from Galt, CA, and was retrieved at 10:30am from Manteca, CA (~30 miles South).

Balloon traveled somewhere between 70,000 ft - 100,000 ft.

Unfortunately we had to delete about 50 minutes of photos due to condensation and freezing of the camera lens.

The retrieval site was at a recreational mobile home park, in the middle of a lake, but luckily we retrieved it without too much problems.
