Ever wonder why in these games dudes in the foreground can take more bullets than dudes in the background. Like getting hit by a high powered rifle at close range is somehow less deadly than being shot at a distance.

As far as your mouse cursor, it might have to do with PC resolution vs. emulator resolution.
