at least in part the 'holy scriptures' seem to be 'intelligently designed' as comic and satire. just that violent massacres are not really funny, even nowadays. and what keeps their own bloody slaughter going is that people don't stop buying into it... (the direct cause of priapism, it was found last year, seems to be the lack of an enzyme that metabolizes adenosine; the causes of this shortage are unknown in most cases.)
