Teresa Doyle vocalizes and plays the exotic "Sruti Box" with Thrip Wolfbridge on stand-up bass in this March 2010 UPEI Faculty Lounge improvisation session.
Teresa is one of the leading Folk Musicians in PEI and is also widely know for Jazz -Note the highly acclaimed CD "Late Night Parlour".
She plays experimental music regularly at her PEI artist's retreat in the summer. Teresa says, "I've been a big fan of free improvisation for many years starting with the seven years I spent on the Montreal jazz scene. My long time friend and producer the late Oliver Schroer and I recorded a number of sessions and as a result we were invited to Sound Symposium in Newfoundland, a semi- annual 10 day festival with improvisers from around the world."
The PEI artists you hear in this session both have a unique range of styles.
