  • I am having a biopsy/hydrodistention this week. Urologist saw red areas. Has cytologies done, both were clear. Just want to get to the bottom of the micro hematuria. Interstitial cystitis or cancer? I am a long time hair stylist non-smoker. Hoping all is well. Thanks for your videos.

  • @mycurrentevents Best of luck with the cystoscopy. There are many chemical exposures that are associated with bladder cancer, particularly tobacco but also organic solvents, rubbers, dyes, leather industry chemicals, etc.

  • I am HORRIFIED that I have this right now. I had what my urologist called "pre cancerous" polyps back in 2000. Right now I am sitting here with a foley in, and I see my Urologist on Monday. I stopped having an urge to urinate, where as I normally have OAB. I do have blood in my urine off and on and pain with urination, UTI's and cystitis. Numerous since the age of 13. I am now 38. My grandfather had bladder cancer, and YES I am a smoker. I see a cystoscopy in my near future.

  • @pris72 Sorry to hear this...you MUST do everything you can to stop smoking as that is the likely underlying cause of the bladder cancer. It can make a huge difference in your healthy destiny.

  • My mom just died of this... stupid doctors kept saying 'Oh it's just an infection, take these antibiotics and you'll be fiiiine.' They didn't find it till it was stage 4.... the chemo didn't work and she died from it obstructing her bowels, making her septic. She had to be in a morphine coma for the last two weeks of her life.... FUCKING DOCTORS!

  • @darksorceressharuko I am very, very sorry to hear this terribly sad news. Most bladder cancer patients present with blood in their urine. Many patients with urinary infections as well, although usually with pain. So if bleeding persists after treatment with a week of antibiotics, urological evaluation is MANDATORY. That said, sometimes bladder cancers do not present until late in their course, and can be incurable unless picked up when localized to the bladder.

  • Thank you for taking the time to make this video...I'm 46 and was told I have this two days ago. At the time I wasn't able to think about what to ask my doctor, what with the shock, ( I was thinking bladder stone), and trying to hold it together emotionally. This helps a great deal, thanks again.

  • im doing a sience project about this

  • I was diagnosed with this over a year ago and have been blessed that it was found very early.

  • RNpedia.com to know more about this..
