@Cupit29 Oh, not just medieval. But I'm not trying to play the game of "which country is better"--nor do I want to (those sorts of internet arguments never end well). I'm just trying to show how utterly worthless and hypocritical it is to judge a country by it's past misdeeds. I say the same thing to Americans, too.

If you look through history you'll find that the worst examples of nationalism, war, violence, greed, corruption, injustice, oppression, racism, disease, and general ignorance can all be found in Europe. Think American slavery is bad? Guess who sold the slaves to us. Don't like creationism? Guess where the Vatican City is. America has it's flaws, but Europe is no better.
